For the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, Michael Fassbender strikes a quizzical pose on what looks like the front of the box your iPhone 6 came in.
Back in the day, the idea of two biopic’s about Steve Jobs seemed ridiculous. Today, there are three films planned at three different studios about Robin Hood. Things change. Continue reading New “Steve Jobs” Poster…Lower Your Brightness
So, a couple of updates on James Gunn‘s upcoming passion project The Belco Experiment. First off, the name has changed to The Belko Experiment, following some fiddly legal issues. Second, a cast member has been announced.
Empire is reporting that John Gallagher Jr has been cast in the horror thriller. You may remember Gallagher from Short Term 12 or Aaron Sorkin‘s The Newsroom. He will be playing one of the main characters in the project, which sees the employees of the Belko Company get sealed inside and told that they have to kill or be killed.
There’s going to be a strong sense of character exploration in this film, with desperation bringing everyone’s true character to light. What kind of person will Gallagher be revealed to be?
Back in reality, Gunn auditioned Gallagher for a different role that didn’t work out. But the actor stuck in Gunn’s mind and here he is in Belko. According to Gunn a table read has already been done with the cast members, so we should be getting some more cast news very soon. As soon as we know, you’ll know.
Who else would you like to see trapped in Belko?
Whether it’s artwork or casting choices, the Xmen: Apocalypse publicity train is certainly picking up momentum. It’s been hard to put down where the next nugget of info will be coming from, since director Bryan Singer has a solid amount of experience using social media to get the word out to his fans. Well in a follow-up to last week’s reveal of some designs for Ben Hardy‘s Angel, Singer is kicking this week off with the announcement of Olivia Munn joining the cast as the mutant Psylocke.
Empire News is reporting that the news came from Singer’s Instagram, one of his many nugget outlets. Check out the message below, courtesy of Instagram:
So Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke has a checkered sort of history, and by checkered I mean one that could be a little tricky to plan out on the big screen. She’s the daughter of an interdimensional traveller who fathered a few kids in the Xmen universe. Her power? Oh just some nifty psychic stuff, but her trademark is the use of knives made of concentrated psychic energy. Her first appearances were with Captain America and his UK equivalent Captain Britain. Her powers have gotten increasingly eclectic over the years so it will be cool to see which combination of powers will be incorporated into the film. For my money, a pair of psychic knives might not be a bad idea against Apocalypse.
Olivia Munn is best known for her work on the Aaron Sorkin‘s The Newsroom and most recently… Oh Mortdecai? Really? Well let’s ignore that.
