You’re entering a dimension within the realms of the human mind. A sub-psychological space where the emotional state of an 11 year old girl, Riley, is in the hands of 5 emotions. In this bizarre reality, Riley is caught in a crisis of the mind when her core memories are lost and she loses the vital connections to her own personality; it is up to Joy and Sadness to restore her memories while Fear, Anger and Disgust try to hold her mind together. This is a dimension which we call… The Twilight Zo- I mean, Inside Out. Continue reading “Inside Out” Review: The Most Entertaining Therapy Session You’ll Ever Have→
Between Brad Bird‘s Tomorrowland: A World Beyond and Jordan Hess taking onOvernight at 42nd Street, we’ve been talking a lot about Disney recently. Oh, and did you hear about Tim Burton helming a live action adaptation of Dumbo? Sorry, sorry, I was supposed to move away from Dinsey in this post. Because now we’re getting some fresh bits and pieces from the Pixar camp.
A fresh new trailer has been released for the animation Inside Out, which will be bursting onto the big screen this summer. The two and a half minute sneak peek premiered on The Ellen Show While the first trailer we got a few months ago gave us a solid segment of the film about different emotions living inside a young girl named Riley’s brain, we didn’t get much of the plot . Fortunately it looks as though this new trailer will give us a better idea of the story arc. Check it out below, courtesy of Ellentube:
Well that’s a stunning piece of Pixar loveliness! So from the looks of things the films will focus around Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling) as they try and fix a problem with Riley after an emotional move to San Francisco.
Inside Out will be out on June 19th, but don’t get too emotional about it. See what I did there?
We’ve been in desperate need of a Pixar fix recently, and the chances are we would have happily accepted any old adorable nonsense. But fortunately, what we got was a pretty fulfilling trailer for Inside Out, ready for release in 2015. We’re living in a month of Sony hacks and bad blood, so it’s nice to get a little bit of colour and cuteness in our lives to remind us that, hey, we still have Pixar films! Well, we won’t have it for a months now, so the a short piece of footage will have to do. Check out the trailer, courtesy of Empire:
Despite the fact that very little of the film’s plot about the emotions inside our heads is revealed, we get an extended piece of footage. This is probably a better idea given the nature of the film’s concept. But don’t worry, you get more than a good look at the emotions themselves: Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Bill Hader) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). Inside Out looks to be a dependable animated feature for next year. Any info on plot points will be posted as it becomes available.
