Kung Fu Panda 3 Trailer: Justice will be Served

Kate Hudson, J.K. Simmons and Bryan Cranston join Jack Black’s Po in the Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer.

It’s seems like only yesterday that a rotund Panda voiced by Jack Black stole our hearts in Kung Fu Panda. That was actually nearly 8 years ago! The sequel was nearly 5 years ago! Since then, it’s become one of the cornerstones of the Pixar canon. Needless to say, we’ve been waiting a while for the latest instalment. That wait has now come to an end (nearly) with the release of the Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer. But can the third chapter live up to the cherished memories  we all have of the Pixar franchise? There’s only one way to find out. Check out the Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer, courtesy of Slashfilm.

David Cross’ Internet Fame Project “Hits” Gets a Trailer

It’s always been a hope of mine to see UCB veteran Matt Walsh get the starring role (more or less) in a decent comedy feature. Now it seems my prayers have been answered with Hits, a new decent-looking comedy from the mind of Arrested Development star David Cross. The film will star Walsh as a troubled father whose obsession with being heard on a pothole problem in his town gets him overnight internet attention. This gets on the nerves of his daughter who longs to be a celebrity herself. Now we have a trailer: the comedy looks equal parts blunt and razor sharp, and takes an honest look at the ridiculousness of being an internet sensation. Take a look, courtesy of Honora:

This will be Cross’ directorial debut and looks to have all the traits of his style of comedy. Walsh also looks right at home in the mediocre bleakness of his life and celebrity. The film also stars Michael Cera, Amy Sedaris, Wyatt Cenac and David Koechner. There’s no current US release date to speak of but don’t be surprised if this feature doesn’t take a conventional route for widespread release.

Have you “liked” Hits? See what I did there?
