Finishing up a stupendous marketing campaign that has fans worldwide weak at the knees, the third and final Star Wars trailer Gives us some personal touches from the key players.

Come on guys and girls, you knew this was coming. There’s been hustle and bustle over the last week in anticipation of the third and final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. Yesterday saw the long awaited unveiling of the film’s poster in all its anthological glory. So, naturally, fans have been looking to this trailer to answer any questions raised by the poster. Normally the third trailer for a film isn’t much to moo about. For most films the third trailer is aimed at a more mainstream audience pre-release. But for Star Wars we’ll make a Death Star-sized exception.

So what’s left to talk about?

Well, let’s get started then. The main difference between this trailer and the last two is the coherent focus on each of the main characters, Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren. Daisy Ridley‘s Rey takes a tour fof hat looks like a crashed Star Destroyer before she and Harrison Ford‘s Han Solo have a condensed history lesson. After that, John Boyega stumbles from a crashed Tie Fighter as the aimless stormtrooper desperate for a cause.

We then get a look at Adam Driver‘s Kylo Ren on the bridge of a star destroyer(?) promising to “finish what you started”. Is he having a chat with Darth Vader? That’s what the trailer is suggesting. We also get a look at Mark Hamill, who was surprisingly absent from the poster. What’s he doing? Well, he seems to be at the mercy of Kylo Ren’s dark side powers and pretty bent out of shape about it. He looks pretty fresh faced in the shot as well, so this could be a flashback.

Another intriguing image is Ford leading John Boyega and Daisy Ridley into what appears to be the Jedi Temple. Is there a dishevelled Skywalker waiting there for them?

The most important reveal of the this trailer is that tickets are now going on sale for the movie’s opening weekend. So what are you doing still reading this? Go and book your seats!
