“Dawn of Justice” Teaser to Premiere with “Mad Max: Fury Road”

If for any bizarre, inconceivable reason you were planning on missing out on the long Mad Max: Fury Road, you may want to rethink your plans. There are reports coming our that the post apocalyptic vehicle vehicle will play host to a teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! On a totally unrelated note, it looks as though movie title colons are popular again! Long live the subtitle.

Anyway getting back to the real news, Screenrant is reporting that a teaser trailer for the DC Universe first course is on its way. This follows on from news coming out of Collider that multiple WB insiders were confirming that Dawn of Justice will be the official tease of Mad Max. I wouldn’t blame you for shrugging off this news. There have been Dawn of Justice teaser promises before, with claims that we’d get a taste before The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies and Jupiter Ascending.

However, the timing for Mad Max makes a whole lot more sense than the other two. By waiting for the Mad Max release, WB will steer clear of the Avengers: Age of Ultron première. This makes sense for two reasons: one, they can avoid their hype being smothered by Marvel madness, and two, they can keep their trailer out of the airspace of The Force Awakens, which has a new trailer attached to Age of Ultron. Now noone’s suggesting that Dawn of Justice won’t be a hot topic whenever the trailer is released, but why run the risk of competition when you don’t have to?

Even though it’s only going to be teaser length, the Dawn of Justice of bound to answer a lot of questions that have been bouncing around the last year or so. Granted we won’t be seeing much plotiness this time around (it’s a word) but purely from a stylistic and atmospheric standpoint we should get a solid idea of what we can expect from the film.

Mad Max: Fury Road will be released this May, while Dawn of Justice will be in theatres March 25th 2016.
